Cycling Performance and Coaching Strategies with examples and lessons learned from notable riders

Gordon has coached many club riders and a significant number of riders to national and international medals. He was a British Cycling Coach at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002, and also at the Athens Olympic Training Camp in Cyprus in 2004. He was personal coach to Nicole Cooke in 2007 and 2008 leading up to her road race gold medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. He was coach and mentor to Adam Topham during his four winning British Best All Rounder titles from 2012 to 2015. And he coached veteran Jimmy Rutherford to numerous track medals, in 2016 and again in 2021 and 2022. Gordon will share some of his experiences and approaches to coaching and performance measurement.
Gordon is a Level 4 Cycling Coach of the Association of British Cycling Coaches and British Cycling. Fellow Member and Life Member of the ABCC and BC. Cycling Coach of more than 40 years standing.
